About Me
These “about me” pages are usually so boring on people’s websites. Let’s see if I can spice mine up a bit! Instead of a big, plump paragraph with proper sentences and transitions, I’ll just make a list I can keep adding to whenever I want!
- I fence. That means I get to hit people with swords. Yes, swords.
- I was born July 29th, 1990. You can figure out my age if you have such a desire.
- I’m into all things technology–I studied computer science in college and recently got my CS minor.
- I’ve been programming since 3rd grade
- I can write and understand PHP, (My)SQL, (X)HTML, Java(Script), CSS, C(++), (Visual) BASIC, and *nix shell scripting.
- I run Linux on both of the two laptops I use to drive my day-to-day life
- I’m a complete geek–just an un-stereotypical one.
- I cannot fix everything, everytime.
- At one point in my life I had gotten into (some) forms of martial arts and weaponry, purely from a defensive perspective. I’d like to learn Aikido. I don’t think I’ll have time.
- Rock is one of my favorite forms of music besides showtunes (yes, showtunes; see number 7). Queen, Bill Joel, and Elton John are my top 3 artists.
- I usually make people laugh in real life. If I’m not making you laugh, that’s probably because you’re on my website. Come meet me in the real world and we’ll have some fun.
- I love musicals (see number 5). Got a problem with that? Deal with it. >:-D
- I’ve lost a lot of weight since May 2009 (in a good way) and then started getting muscle. Whooo!
- I’ve taught myself how to play the guitar, although fingerpicking still eludes me. Now that I’ve got guitar, piano, drums, and vox down, I think I’m gonna try for bass or violin next.
- Smileys are the definition of my online communication. You’ll see them a lot everywhere on this site.
