Fun blog topics tonight! First, I had a great day until about 5 o’clock–my last JA lesson went well,  I got to eat lunch with my friends, and even took a nap! Then my physics lab came…

First, news from our last lab report–20 points off because my group member assigned to do it this week forgot the most important page: our data results. 20 points off from 50. We ended up getting a 28. Out of 50. Geez…

Continuing on in physics, the lab we had to do today was horribly convoluted. The instructions were unclear and ambiguous and the concept it was trying to teach (conservation of momentum) could have been explained in much easier ways. Of course, I have to do the lab report this week so now I’m stuck with a horrendously stupid lab to write a report on, answering questions that don’t even know what they themselves are referring to. Geez x2…

I finally got out of lab (at 7pm, the latest this semester just because of the inanity of this lab) and went over to the Student Union to grab something to eat for dinner. My dad recently mailed me this nice $15 gift card (thanks, Dad!!!) for Burger King, which, like my previous Subway gift card, I intend on using whenever I go to BK for a quick meal. So I get up to the register, place my order, and hand them my card.

I’m sorry, we don’t take that card here.

Geez x3…

So now I have to pay another way. Oooh, FlexBucks! They’re useful, right? I hand her my student ID–oh, wait, I only have $2.32 left on that account. Scratch that idea. Geez x4. Oh! Purse 1! My dad refilled it recently in order to give me more laundry money, but in an emergency like this, surely it’s ok to use it, right?

Use purse 1, please!

Denied!? WTF?!

Right. I never got to the refill station yet. Money’s still on the server and not my card. Geez x5…

End up paying with my debit card for my personal checking account. The account that’s seen way too much usage over the past few months here at college. I don’t like using it anymore since that means I have less and less money each time. Gah!

So, now what?

1. Refill my purse
2. Remember to stop using FlexBucks
3. LEAVE MY DEBIT CARD AT HOME SO I DON’T USE IT ANYMORE
4. Save more cash?

In total, 5 “geez” moments tonight. Oh well. That’s life. Good days and bad. Tomorrow will be a good one–haunted house!

I just lost "The Game"

Yep, it’s that time again! There’s a fencing tournament coming up this weekend and yours truley is competing in it. I’ll be 40 minutes from Orlando over in Cocoa Beach this weekend at the Bankuti Tournament. It’s USFA-affiliated, so hopefully I can get a ranking; at the very least, I’ll enjoy a full day of sabre fencing! Wish me luck and look for updates on how it went next week!
